DETTAGLI – DETAILS
EXPERIMENTS IN CINEMA

“Experiments in Cinema is an annual celebration of transcultural cinematic history. Our event includes screenings, lectures and workshops that explore diverse, alternative approaches to transnational media ethnography.
Experiments in Cinema features lesser known media traditions and considers how they might inform ways in which New Mexicans think about identity awareness through the dynamic, interactive community of a film festival.
This event is produced by Basement Films, and sponsored by the Albuquerque Film Office, Instituto Cervantes, the New Mexico Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the McCune Charitable Foundation, and the Albuquerque Community Foundations FUNd program.”

ENGAUGE EXPERIMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL

“Celebrating sprocket-driven, artist-made work”.
“The important things about our festival is that we only program short, experimental films that ORIGINATE ON FILM. We will not accept anything that begins on digital or is ripped from a “film” DVD or uses already digitized footage. The filmmakers themselves must have handled film in the beginning stages of the process at least. We can also screen 16mm and 35mm prints, but also accept already digitized work”.
Sulla pagina FilmFreeway del Festival trovate maggiori dettagli, utili soprattutto se siete filmmaker e volete inviare il vostro lavoro.
IMAGES FESTIVAL

“Images is an annual, interdisciplinary, artist-driven festival that showcases artistic excellence in contemporary moving image culture through screenings, exhibitions, and performances. We exhibit and encourage the work of artists producing film and video outside of mainstream commercial production, distribution systems, and aesthetic conventions.”

SAN DIEGO UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL
“San Diego Underground Film Festival is an artist-run non-profit arts festival that offers San Diego a nurturing alternative to the mainstream media by promoting experimentation in video, film, and audio based mediums. In 2019, SDUFF was selected as one of MovieMaker Magazine’s Top 50 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee for its diverse and challenging programming.
Each year, SDUFF awards one artist whose vision is pure and fearless with our “Most Metal” award, which celebrates the spirit of freedom — qualities we feel represent our festival. Known for taking risks on young talent alongside showcasing veteran filmmakers, SDUFF prides itself on being a festival by and for disciples of the moving image.”
